Why I'm Running
I moved to Orchard Grass Hills in 2017 looking for the best place to raise a family, and it's turned out to be exactly that. Eight years on city council have shown me how much steady, hands-on work goes into keeping a town like ours running well. I know the budget and the people who keep this city working, and I'm ready to get to work on day one.
My time as a Marine taught me that consistency and follow-through matter more than big announcements. That's the kind of mayor I intend to be.
My Commitments to You
- Keeping infrastructure on track: Your street. Every street.On council, we repaved key streets, upgraded drainage systems, and repaired uneven sidewalks across the city. As mayor, I'll keep assessing streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems block by block and prioritizing repairs where they're needed most, the same approach I've taken on council.
- Transparent, accessible government: Records posted. Doors open.We built a central city website where residents can easily find meeting minutes and ordinances, and we're still adding documents to it. I'll keep that work going and make sure residents always have a direct, reliable way to reach their mayor, not just a website to search.
- Responsible budgeting: Careful spending. Steady finances.We tightened financial controls, completed our audits, and modernized our record keeping processes. I'm committed to keeping that discipline: spending carefully and keeping the city's finances on solid ground for the long run.
Experience
City Council (2018–Present): Eight years serving Orchard Grass Hills, working alongside fellow council members on the infrastructure and governance priorities outlined above. I've shown up prepared for every meeting and treat the job as year-round work, not just a seat to hold.
Military: Sergeant, United States Marine Corps; HMMWV Mechanic with 1st Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment & Network Specialist with Marine Wing Support Group 47; deployed to Iraq, 2006–2007.
Service in Fallujah taught me that showing up, doing the unglamorous work, and following through matters more than getting credit for it; a lesson I've carried into eight years on council.
Personal: I moved to Kentucky in 2014 and to Orchard Grass Hills in 2017. My wife and I are happy to be raising our two boys here. My day job is a cybersecurity consultant, and I mentor fellow veterans working to break into the information security field. I also like to keep learning new things; most recently, I earned my amateur radio license.
